Just as we watch clouds or weather patterns in the sky, the same awareness can be given to thought patterns. To make a habit of observing thoughts and feelings, instead of continually becoming immersed in them, is to look at them more objectively.

Stormy weather comes and goes, as do sunny days. It’s up to us how we respond to our observations.
